Summary for Battle of the States Underclassmen 

The 2007 Underclassmen event was held at the Tampa Bay Devil Rays Spring Training Complex in St. Petersburg Florida on December 8^th and 9^th.  There were 22 Division II and Junior colleges as well as 7 Major League Scouts who evaluated this new crop of talent which was excellent this year.   

The weather was absolutely gorgeous, 75 degrees and sunny.  Team Southeast coached by Jose Vega from Brooklyn New York, won the championship over Team Mid America  coached by Erik Bell of Tampa.  Many of these fine baseball prospects from all 10 teams will be recognized as players to watch by Baseball America in 2008.
